The Kiwanis Club of Carmichael is a welcoming, community-driven organization dedicated to serving children and families in the Carmichael area. With nearly 100 members from all walks of life, we come together to make a meaningful impact through hands-on service and heartfelt connection.
Our Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity. As a club we have proudly partnered with local organizations such as San Juan Unified School District, Carmichael and Mission Oaks Park Districts, SMUD, Carmichael Chamber of Commerce, local governmental agencies and organizations, and many others to extend our reach and deepen our support for the community.
We offer more than 40 service programs and projects each year. Whether you are ready to lend a hand or simply want to make a difference and donate, there is a place for you here. At a recent meeting, the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael donated $500 to Family Promise, an organization we’ve been supporting for 17 years. They are a non-profit that helps low-income and homeless families achieve independence. They recently graduated their 450th family out of their homeless program. They are going to put the donation towards educational training for parents in the program.
Yesterday we had the founder of Project Lifelong speak at our club meeting. Project Lifelong provides support and mentorship to kids and teens through skateboarding and outdoor recreation. Our club has been a big supporter of their organization for many years, so we like to hear what they have been up to.

The Kiwanis Club of Carmichael Youth adopts a school each year. This year we have adopted Thomas Kelly Elementary School. Our goal is to support the teachers and staff as well as provide needed resources for the students. Yesterday, we provided a breakfast for the teachers on their first day of returning to the school site. We presented the school with filled backpacks, and each teacher received supplies for their classroom.
Over the course of the year, we will volunteer at their school events and continue to recognize and support them because our club truly understands the challenges schools are facing in meeting the needs of the students and families in our community. … See MoreSee Less
On the second Saturday of every month, members of the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael hit the American River Parkway trail to do a cleanup of our club’s trail marker area. Yesterday 12 members, friends, and family came out and collected 50 pounds of trash, including plastic and fishing line.
