The Kiwanis Club of Carmichael is a welcoming, community-driven organization dedicated to serving children and families in the Carmichael area. With nearly 100 members from all walks of life, we come together to make a meaningful impact through hands-on service and heartfelt connection.
Our Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity. As a club we have proudly partnered with local organizations such as San Juan Unified School District, Carmichael and Mission Oaks Park Districts, SMUD, Carmichael Chamber of Commerce, local governmental agencies and organizations, and many others to extend our reach and deepen our support for the community.
We offer more than 40 service programs and projects each year. Whether you are ready to lend a hand or simply want to make a difference and donate, there is a place for you here. After yesterday’s Sharon Ruffner Community Service Day, the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael turned in 165 pounds of plastic for the Trex Challenge m. That means 165 less pounds of plastic going into landfills or ending up in our environment or oceans! … See MoreSee Less
We had a fantastic morning at Carmichael Park for the 4th annual Sharon Ruffner Community Service Day, honoring an extraordinary woman who gave so much back to her community. Members of the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael, Girl Scout Troop 3191, and the Del Campo Key Club worked on a variety of projects, such as sorting plastic to turn in to Trex (and keep out of landfills), filling bags with non-perishable food for kids in the San Juan Unified School District, prepping activity materials for the Koobs Nature Area, and building a cardboard tractor for the Cameron Ranch Elementary Harvest Festival. This weekend, the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael and Aerospace Museum of California were out at the California Air Show. We are partners in supporting STEM education for girls and boys throughout the region. Our members got to meet Captain Annalisa Leckrone who is a F15C pilot. She is the first female fighter pilot for the 144th Fighter Wing out of Fresno, California. She also has a Kiwanis connection because she was a member of Key Club in high school!
